Hi my name is Tina, I am a mum to 2 children. I started my childcare journey in 2003 where I attended college, completing various childcare placements throughout the course. In 2005 I was offered a fulltime position in a nursery that I had completed one of my placements at. In 2007 I had my first child and he attended my workplace. In 2009 I decided it was time for a change so went onto work at an out of school club whilst training at college. In 2011 I had my second child, the out of school club had closed so I became a stay at home mum for a little while. In 2014 I became a self employed childminder as this enabled me to work and be at home for my own children. As my own children grew older and didn't need me at home as much, I decided it was time to go back into a nursery setting. In 2023 I was offered a Nursery Practitioner position within a nursery, I wasn't there long before I was promoted to Pre-School Room Lead. I loved my job and wasn't looking to move on until I saw the advertisement for Early Explorers at Newport in 2025. I decided to apply and here I am absolutely loving my role as Newport Pre-School Manager.

Hi, my name is Sarah, I am a mum to two beautiful boys. I’m originally from the midlands. I started working in childcare in 2000, when I became an apprentice in a day nursery down south. I became a supervisor of the baby room and then later the deputy manager. In 2015 i left to become a mom to my eldest and we then moved up to Yorkshire in 2019. I had my second son and loved being a stay at home mom spending time with my boys. In 2022 I decided it was time to go back to work and was lucky enough to join Early Explorers in Newport, in which I really do enjoy being a part of. When I’m not at work I’m enjoying spending time with my family, we like plying game, going to the park and to the beach.

Hi, I'm Laura. From a very young age my passion was always to work with children. I went to college from secondary school to study level 3 in childcare. Once qualified I worked in nursery and pre school settings until I became a mum to my little boy. After taking time out of full time work to be a single mum working part time, I'm now extremely excited to further my career and get back into a job I have wanted to do since I was very young. In my spare time, I love nothing more than spending time with my family and friends. I come from a big family and have a lot of nieces and nephews who I absolutely adore......meaning I always have a little sidekick with me even though my son is now a teenager!

I am super excited to be a part of Newport preschool team!!
